Suliko 술리코 (English translation) I was looking for my sweetheart's grave, but it was hard to find. For a long time I was worrying and suffering. Where are you, my Suliko? I met a rose on my way when I was searching far away. "Please, dear rose, give me comfort: Is Suliko perhaps with you?" The rose bowed a bit and widely opened her bud. Then she softly whispered: "You must not look for Suliko any longer." Among the fragrant roses, in the shadow, a nightingale brightly sang his song. There I asked the nightingale where he had hidden Suliko. Suddenly the little nightingale fell silent and softly touched the rose with his beak: "You have found what you are looking for", he said, "Suliko is sleeping here in eternal slumber." Ivan Rebroff Hilfarth Singers "Suliko 술리코" 는 Georgia 여성이나 남성의 이름으로 영혼을 뜻한다. Suliko 라는 이름의 연인의 무덤에서 사랑을 찾는 내용의 Georgia 시인 Akaki Tsereteli (아카키 쩨레텔리)의 시에 Varenka Tsereteli 가 쓴 곡으로 가슴 저미는 슬픈 노래이다. Joseph Stalin의 favorite인 탓으로 그 시대 자주 라디오 방송 되었던 곡이기도 하다. 10/11/12 musicgarden
